I wanted to visit CCFolia books since I first heard about them, and finally made the trip with a friend. Located in Ikebukuro, it could be mistaken for just another bookstore. Entering, though, I was greeted by shelves of TRPG and adjacent books, as well as some murder mysteries and card games. CCFolia books is a TRPG-focused store that could be mistaken for a trendy Tsutaya books.

One of the nice things is that the majority of books are not shrink wrapped, and can be flipped through. This in contrast to most game stores where the books are shrink wrapped.

In addition to the major books, I spotted a few indie titles, and was surprised to see translations of the Last Sabbath and Kutulhu featured prominently next to D&D, Warhammer RPG, and Cyberpunk.

It’s really a lovely shop and great that how accessible it is. There were a number of patrons while I was there, and it was fun to hear some of them talking excitedly with their friends as soon as they saw the entrance. While on the oppose site of the Yellow Submarine Ikebukuro shop, it’s within walking distance.
Open everyday from 10:30 to 21:30.
